Dear Reader…
First, let me say aloha and thank you for picking up my fifth and latest novel, To Catch The Setting Sun. I hope you enjoy this suspense thriller as much as I did writing it. I want you to know that I spent a year living with these characters, and as you will see, some of them are quite interesting, some are likeable, some will make you mad, and some will…well, let’s just say others are downright nasty. I certainly have my favorites as I’m sure you will too.
While To Catch the Setting Sun is offered up as a suspense thriller that is set on the beautiful tropical island of Oahu, Hawaii, it is so much more than that. It is also a story about relationships as I take you on a thought-provoking journey that explores loyalty, commitment, integrity, betrayal, corruption, evil, love and lust. That’s a smorgasbord, isn’t it? But I guarantee you will be glad to belly up to the buffet or in this case, the luau to get a taste of the Hawaii that tourists never get to see. So, as you store your carry-on in the overhead bin, put your seatback in the upright position, and fasten your seat belt, get ready to embark on a sizzling-hot adventure in paradise. I’m confident you will be glad you came along

“Five Stars! With a sweeping Hawaiian backdrop reminiscent of James Michener, right off the bat this thriller reminds us that bad things can even happen in paradise…Levine has crafted a thriller with so many twists and turns, just when think you know what’s going to happen next, a new element of surprise catches the reader like a ten-foot wave.”
And Danielle from Urban Book Reviews stated:
“Five Stars! To Catch the Setting Sun by Richard Levine is one of the best suspenseful mystery novels I have read! Crime fiction at its best is shown in this novel. I loved the dark, intriguing, yet deadly rollercoaster ride. Richard Levine is now added to my all-time favorites. Themes of loss, grief, death can be found in this epic tale. It grabbed my attention and kept it till the end.”
